Community owned, Wigginton Village Shop & Café was named Best Business in the Community by a panel of judges from the Hertfordshire arm of countryside charity, Campaign to Protect Rural England.
These awards, an important fixture in the charity’s calendar, are designed to recognise individuals, groups and businesses that are working hard to improve life in rural communities. Wigginton Village Shop found itself in great company with Tring Brewery and Sarratt Village Shop also receiving commendations.
Having opened in December 2018, the shop has attracted a lot of praise for the impact it has had on the local community, creating a meeting place, as well as being a shop window for local suppliers and businesses. This latest win follows a SME Business Award for best new business back in June which has secured its entry as a finalist in the national awards which will be announced in early December.
