Café update – removing seats but hot food & drink still available to takeaway
- The shop is still open on our slightly modified hours – Mon – Sat 8-4pm Sun 08:30-1pm – we stop serving hot food and drinks an hour before we shut
- Cafe is not open – there are no tables and seats inside – but you can still takeaway hot drinks and food selected from our shorter menu
- We are also encouraging payments to be made by card where possible
Following further government advice, we have taken the decision to remove the seating area inside the shop in order to help protect our customers, volunteers and suppliers – so we will no longer offer an ‘eat in’ café. We will still offer a takeaway service of hot drinks and cakes and will have a smaller than usual range of hot and cold food to include in this service.
By taking these precautions we will help to provide more space for social distancing inside the shop for people shopping and taking food and drinks away.
We are working hard to ensure that people will still be able to get shopping and will be trialling the delivery service amongst our volunteers over the next few days to make sure we get the process right. We will let you know as soon as we’re ready to take orders.
We are sad to lose our community space (for now), but we are living through extraordinary times. The response from the community has been equally extraordinary, as we all work together to help each other. Thank you so much for continuing to support us and our local suppliers.
